BRIGHT SPOT: #SAWRocks show up around town

If you happen to be taking walks as a way to gain some peace in these chaotic times, calm might not be the only thing you stumble upon.

Many pedestrians are sharing photos of painted rocks that they find in Nashville, each one sporting its own unique flair.

Susan, Anna and William Leggins have been busy painting rocks of all shapes and sizes and leaving them in places where people will find them. They’re even doing special projects for certain businesses in town.

The Brown County Public Library posted a photo of one that was left at their building, painted like a brick wall with “9 3/4,” in honor of the portal to the wizarding world in “Harry Potter.”

On the backs of the rocks is painted “#SAWRocks” — S, A and W being the Leggins’ initials.

One was left next to last week’s papers outside of the Brown County Democrat newsroom, with a message to “Write without fear, edit without mercy.”

The hashtag encourages the finders to share a photo to social media of rocks that cross their paths. Keep your eyes peeled when you’re out and about and share which hand-painted treasure brightens your day.
