Amanda Sue Hatchett, 40, of Nashville died unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. She was born Oct. 11, 1979 in Bloomington to William O. Hatchett and Kelly Ennis Hatchett. She enjoyed working at May’s Greenhouse in Bloomington.
Survivors include her mother and step father, Marc and Kelly Rudd of Nashville; her children, Taylor Stratton, Kirstin Stratton and Jason Stratton all of Nashville; her companion, Stevie Boyd of Nashville; a sister, Kamady (Ronnie) Rudd Lewis; a nephew, Reagan Lewis; grandparents, Maxine and Phillip Blake; and her extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, William O. Hatchett; and her grandparents, Mary and Jim Farrell.
Amanda attended Rising Hope Baptist Church, she loved being a mom, spending time with her family, her dogs, gardening, photography, art and making cards for her children.
There will be a Private Gathering of Family and Friends on Monday, June 8, 2020 in Nashville Christian Church, 160 S Van Buren St. Funeral Services will be Monday also in the church with Patrick Glasser officiating, Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery.

Abigail is a Brown County native dedicated to the community in which she has been raised. She joined the Brown County Democrat newsroom in 2019 while studying English at IUPUC, where she graduated in May 2020. After working as the news advertising coordinator for nearly two years, she became reporter in September of 2021. She took over as editor in the fall of 2022.
