Teddy Lee Beauchamp, 81 of Freetown passed away Friday, June 5, 2020 at Hoosier Christian Village. Born Nov. 6, 1938 in Brown County, Indiana he was the son of John and Bessie (Wadsworth) Beauchamp.
Teddy received his bachelor’s degree from the Community College for the United States Air Force and was a Master Sargent for the United States Air Force, having served during Vietnam. He was a Senior member of the Civil Air Patrol. Teddy was a lifelong member of the Christiansburg Methodist Church where he served at the church trustee for many years. He enjoyed gardening, wood working and loved the outdoors.
Teddy will always be remembered for his integrity and wisdom. He was soft spoked and highly respected and a proud Veteran.
Teddy leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Carolyn “Susie” (Taylor) Beauchamp; her daughter, Tracey Jorgensen and her husband Paul of Tucson, Arizona; his son, Jonathan L. Beauchamp and his wife Stacey of Hope, Indiana; his grandchildren, Ashley Featherstone and her husband Chris, Christopher Jorgensen, Tyler Beauchamp, Susan Jorgensen, Tate Beauchamp, Emma Beauchamp and Piper Beauchamp; one great granddaughter, Scarlett Rose Featherstone
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pastor Jason Hyer will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at the Christiansburg Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Christiansburg Cemetery. Services will be livestreamed on Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre’s Facebook page for those who cannot attend. Private visitation for Teddy will be held at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre and at the church before services.
