Becks Grove Road will be closed next week as Brown County Highway Department crews work to replace culverts along the road.

The closure will begin the week of July 6. On July 6 and 7 Becks Grove Road will be closed from the county line to John Butler Road.

Culverts will then be replaced from Mt. Healthy Road to Garrity Road on July 8.

Crews are expected to wrap up the culvert replacement from Bob Allen Road to the top of the hill on July 9.

Drivers are advised to avoid using Becks Grove Road during the closures since crews will be digging up the road to replace the culverts.

All of Becks Grove Road will be paved this summer using Community Crossings matching grant funding that the county receive earlier this year through the Indiana Department of Transportation.

Brown County Highway Superintendent Mike Magner said the money would be used to pave all of Becks Grove Road from State Road 135 to the county line; Mt. Liberty Road from Bellsville Pike to Rinnie Seitz Road; and the southern end of Lick Creek Road south of Cottonwood Road to State Road 45.
