Evelyn June Gladding

Evelyn June Gladding, 99, of Nashville died Sunday, June 28, 2020 in Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle. She was born July 29, 1920 in Vincennes, IN to Houston Foster and Lilly Mae Scales Foster. She was a retired elementary school teacher.
Survivors include two daughters, Jane (Robert) Muncie of Gosport and Catherine Eyre of Largo, FL; a son, Stephen (Patricia) Gladding of Clinton, IN; nine grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Evans Leonard Gladding; and a son, Timothy Gladding.
Memberships include Parkview Church of The Nazarene, Society of Indiana Pioneers, Brown County Genealogy, Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators’ and the Chicago Writers Association. Besides being active in her church, Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening-she was very proud of her Boston Ferns, quilting, she wrote articles about raising ferns and wrote for many Christian Publications.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Friday, July 3, 2020 from 1 to 3 p.m. in Parkview Church of the Nazarene, 1750 State Rd 46, Nashville. Funeral Services will follow in the church at 3 p.m. officiated by her grandson, Rev. Ben Muncie. Burial will follow in Brown County Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home.
