Alan H. Weber

MORGANTOWN

Alan H. Weber, age 68, passed away all too soon on Monday morning, July 13, 2020 at his home in Brown County. He was a resident of Morgantown.

He was born May 25, 1952, in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania to his parents, the late Alfred and LaRue (McGahey) Weber. Al was a 1970 graduate of Bethel Park High School and went on to earn a degree in Agriculture from Penn State University. He married Cathy (Shatto) Paradise on July 6, 1996 in Nashville. She survives after 24 loving years of marriage.

Al retired from the Management Department for Conrail in Indianapolis in April 1996 after 22 years of service. After retirement, he worked for the Indianapolis Sports Park in the maintenance and grounds keep department.

Al served his community with pride, serving as a supervisor for the Brown County Soil & Water Conservation District Board since 1979. He was on the Brown County Extension Board and the Brown County Fair Board and was an active member of the Brown County Historical Society. He also volunteered to mow at Deer Run Park and would help out wherever and whenever he was needed. He loved spending time in the outdoors by landscaping, managing the tree farm and using his Wood-Mizer to cut wood for all of his buildings on his property.

He will be missed by his wife, Cathy Paradise, daughter Anne-Kristin “A.K.” Pritchard of Greenwood, son Scott (Crystal) Pritchard of Columbus, grandchildren: Michael Pritchard of Missouri, Cameron Watts-Pritchard of Columbus, brother: John (Mary Ann) Weber of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, nieces: Stacey (Sebbie) Weber-Feve of Iowa, Laura (Robbie) Weber-Long of Bethel Park, PA and great niece, Aubrey Long.

Due to the recent increase of COVID-19 cases in Indiana, the family will not have a service at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown.
