A 58-year-old Indianapolis man was taken to a hospital after crashing his motorcycle on Salt Creek Road Sept. 20.

Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Nicholson Briles responded to the crash in the 900 block of Salt Creek Road just after 3 p.m. He reported seeing the driver, Allan Jean, lying on his back north of the motorcycle, which was lying on its side on the east side of the road, an accident report states.

Briles noted marks in the grass that indicated Jean had run off the road and landed at the bottom of the embankment.

Jean told Briles that he thought his left knee was dislocated.

Jean told emergency responders he was riding north on Salt Creek Road when he approached a curve and he must have been driving too fast around it. He said he ended up going straight off the road and was ejected from his bike, according to the report.

EMS took Jean to a hospital for further treatment. He was wearing a helmet and a full padded jacket. His motorcycle was towed due to disabling damage.
