Police investigating armed robbery at Circle K

The Nashville Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at the Circle K gas station on State Road 46 East early this morning.

The robbery was reported at 6:38 a.m. by the gas station clerk.

The suspect is a black man who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with either a white or grey logo of the Nike swoosh on it, black sweatpants and white shoes, according to a press release from the police department.

The suspect is between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs around 130 pounds. He is approximately 18 to 22 years old, the police department said.

He displayed a black and silver handgun during the incident. He left the gas station on foot in an unknown direction.

Police could not say what was taken during the robbery, as that is part of investigation.
