Coach’s comments: Abby Fleetwood and Hadley Gradolf completed their sophomore cross-country seasons Saturday at the state finals in Terre Haute. Fleetwood covered the course in 19:37, placing 55th. Gradolf placed 73rd in a time of 19:51. This was Gradolf’s second consecutive appearance at the state finals. Their appearance in the state finals marked the first time in Brown County High School history that two girls qualified for the championship in the same season. With two years remaining for each of them, the future looks bright.
