A 17-year-old Brown County driver received a minor injury on March 6 after his tire went flat while driving.

The crash was reported just before 8 p.m. in the 3200 block of Salt Creek Road. The driver, David Proctor, told Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Stargell that he was driving south on Salt Creek Road toward Nashville when his front passenger tire went flat, according to an accident report.

That caused him to drive off the edge of the west side of the road before striking a culvert, continuing into a ditch and striking another culvert. The vehicle came to rest perpendicular in the road in a driveway, Stargell wrote.

Proctor’s vehicle was towed after sustaining front end damage, three busted rims and tires and a shattered back window along with other mechanical issues, according to Stargell’s report.

Proctor was checked out and cleared by EMS at the scene for a minor laceration above his right eye. He was wearing a seat belt.
