YMCA spring 5K/8K happening this month

The Brown County YMCA will host a new race, the Spring Break Out 5K/8K, at Brown County State Park on Sunday, March 21 from 1 to 4 p.m.

The start and finish location is the Nature Center. Runners will be lined up along the road toward the start line, spaced six feet apart in rows of 10, crossing the timing mat 5 seconds apart.

The 5K begins at 1 p.m. and will go south from the front of the Nature Center, past Hohen Point, turning around before the road drops down, and back to the Nature CCenter.

The 8K begins at 2:30 p.m. and will go the same direction, with a leg into the campground and past Hohen Point, turning around before the road drops down.

Runners will be timed with bib tags.
