PEOGA — A man who had been staying with family in Brown County passed away from an overdose on March 19.
Coroner Earl Piper responded to a medical emergency along with police and EMS at a home on Sweetwater Trail just before 1 p.m. He said the victim was found deceased in a bed by a family member.
Evidence at the scene indicated the overdose may be due to heroin, but results from a toxicology test will not be available for about three weeks. The family of the victim told authorities that he had a history of using heroin, Piper said.
