The Brown County Rotary Club will meet over Zoom at 8 a.m. Thursday, April 1.

Marcia Flaherty-Likens and Jack Likens will be the guest speakers and discuss their planned one-year RV trip across the United States that lasted six years. When wanderlust struck, they sold their home and purchased an RV, with a goal to discover the wonders of the United States National Parks.

Marcia served as the first paid staff member of the Brown County Community Foundation. She left Brown County to return to her roots and was living in Richmond, Virginia when she met Jack, a retired high school biology teacher from Florida. They married and were living in Marcia’s great-grandparents’ home in Richmond.

When Marcia retired, there was no family living nearby; a road-trip seemed an ideal way to find a new hometown.

Members of the community, especially those interested in exploring opportunities to participate in projects and to be of service to our community, are invited to attend the remote session. Visit RotaryClubofBrownCounty.org and click on the “Contact us” URL to obtain a link to the Zoom meeting.
