Letter: Requiring an ID to vote isn’t racist; it’s fair

0

To the editor:

I am always amazed at the left’s attempt to enact “fair voter laws” when in fact all they are trying to do is ensure the exact opposite. Since when did showing an ID become oppressive or racist? I have had to show mine at Walmart to buy a can of paint. Where they being racist to me? Was I being oppressed and did not even know it?

It is ridiculous to imply that having to show ID to vote is anything other than wanting to ensure that you are who you say you are and to actually have a fair voting process.
