Winners of the Brown County Chamber of Commerce 2020 business awards were photographed last week — all except for the owners of the Nashville House, which won business of the year. They were unavailable, so their photo will be published at a later date.

Winners and the reasons were:

Beautification: Bali Makasih. The winner takes pride in the visual impression they leave on our community while demonstrating awareness of the environment.

Building Design & Signage: The Barn Burner. The design is appropriate for the adjacent neighborhood, suitably placed on the site and well maintained. The overall signage design is consistent in style and lettering.

Pandemic Pivot: The Toy Chest. This business successfully revamped its normal course of business during the pandemic and demonstrated creativity, adaptability and resilience during a truly challenging year.

Business of the Year: The Nashville House. This award recognizes a local business for exceptional business achievement and outstanding commitment to the Brown County business community.
