Hard Truth to host rye whiskey release in July

Hard Truth Distilling Co., 418 Old State Road 46, has released a new product, Hard Truth Indiana Straight Rye Whiskey, which will be celebrated at a commemorative event on Saturday, July 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The release coincides with the State of Indiana’s official Indiana Rye Whiskey designation, slated to be signed into law in July. Like Kentucky Bourbon and Tennessee Whiskey, it aims to establish a similar product recognition for Indiana Rye.

Guests are invited to come sample the new rye, enjoy live music and rye cocktails, sign a commemorative poster and more. Hard Truth Master Distiller Bryan Smith will be onsite from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to autograph bottles.

Hard Truth Hills Distilling Co., on 325 wooded acres in Nashville, is an award-winning destination distillery featuring a restaurant with seating for 300, space to host groups of up to 500, a terrace with seating for 1,000 and a stage for seasonal live music, tasting experiences, mixology classes, ATV tours, a moonshiner experience and more.

The production facility features two Vendome stills — one for whiskey and one for clear spirits. Hard Truth Distilling Co. is currently crafting 17 products.
