Rotary club

The Brown County Rotary Club will meet at 8 a.m. Thursday, July 15 in the lower level of the Brown County Community Foundation, 209 N. Van Buren St., or via Zoom.

The guest speakers will be Margo Hash and Dick Young, two-thirds of the leadership team of TRIAD, who will discuss the mission of TRIAD and its impact on the community.

TRIAD, an acronym for “The Right Information And Direction,” consists of 15 volunteers (with more in training) who work with the Brown County Sheriff’s Department reserve officers to provide home visits, nursing home visits, hospital visits, funeral calls and EMT Thanksgiving meal delivery.

TRIAD works with the Brown County Emergency Management Agency to provide prescription delivery for the local CVS and the Brown County Health Department to arrange COVID testing and vaccination appointments. TRIAD’s association with the Midwest Food Bank facilitated the pop-up food pantries that have been happening around Brown County.

Members of the community, especially those interested in exploring opportunities to participate in projects and to be of service to our community, are invited to attend the remote session. Visit RotaryClubofBrownCounty.org and click on the “Contact us” URL to obtain a link to the Zoom meeting.
