Mary Doris (Sturgeon) Bay, 85, of Brown County, Indiana went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.
She was born July 24, 1935 in Brown County, Indiana the daughter of the late Harley and Rachel (Deckard) Sturgeon.
Mary was a member of Belmont Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved God, her church, and her family more than anything else. She enjoyed cooking, singing, praising God, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Mary is survived by her two sons, Paul(Karen) Bay and Gary (Angela) Bay; daughter, Carol (Darrell) Glaze; two sisters, Lois (Johnny) Stephens and Dorothy Ruble Walker; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many other beloved family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Rex Bay; and three brothers, Charles, Jimmy, and Cecil Sturgeon.
Funeral services to celebrate her life were held Friday, July 23, 2021 at Belmont Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiated by Rev. Bruce Bond. Interment followed at Duncan Cemetery. Visitation was held Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home.
