F. Edward David, 73, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 11:43 a.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mr. David was born August 26, 1948, in Columbus, the son of Charles David Jr. and Maxine R. Hinds David. On June 1, 1980, Ed married Pat L. Payne; she survives.
Mr. David formerly worked in IT at Cummins Engine Company, and he was an IT data base administrator at Daniel Associates Inc. in Indianapolis retiring in 2018 after many years of service.
He loved his Honda Goldwing motorcycle and his Dodge Ram diesel pickup truck. An outdoorsman, Mr. David enjoyed hunting and fishing and he had a special love for his family.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Pat; children, Scott (Annette) Kilby of Nashville, Indiana and Jamie (John) Campbell of Americus, Georgia; grandchildren, Rachel, Nathan, Hunter, and Levi Kilby, and Cody Campbell; brother, James (Dr. Blanca) David of Anderson, Indiana; sister, Valery Jane Dilsizian of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. David was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine R. David, November 11, 1997, and his father, Charles David Jr., June 3, 2021.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home, 1029 Washington Street, Columbus with Virgil Clotfelter officiating.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Entombment will be at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Nashville, Indiana.
