Lula Ireta Sumpter-Fox passed away peacefully on August 21st at her daughter’s home in Brown County.
Ireata had nine children by her first husband Richard Sumpter who passed away in 1975. She married James Fox until his passing in 2018.
Survivors included her children April(Joe) Carter of Columbus, Wanda (Shannon) Nash of Brown County, Karen (Bill) Brooks of Colorado, Debra (Dennis) Sanders of Brown County, Robin Whitaker of Brown County, Richard (Bessie) Sumpter of Brown County, Jeffrey (Natalie) Sumpter of Brown County, Brian Sumpter of Morgantown and Colleen (Bob) Slevins of Brown County. Ireta was blessed with an abundance of grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Ireta loved talking to people; she worked as a waitress in some of the best restaurants in Brown County. She enjoyed her family and having get-togethers and having fun. She will be deeply missed by her family.
