Rotary club

The Brown County Rotary Club will meet at 8 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23 at the Seasons Lodge and Conference Center, 560 State Road 46 East, or via Zoom.

The guest speaker will be Liz Simmons, who will discuss the organization and mission of Community Bible Study, especially on fostering a caring community.

Community Bible Study is an international organization that began in Bethesda, Maryland in 1975 and has expanded to five continents. Participants are engaged through individual study, encouraging discussion, effective teaching, insightful commentary and being surrounded with a caring community. Simmons has served in various roles over the past 14 years and currently serves as the zone director for Indiana and Kentucky. Along with her lifelong faith, Simmons credits her 17 years in management with Southwest Airlines, most recently as director of leadership development, for embracing the benefits of servant leadership.

Members of the community, especially those interested in exploring opportunities to participate in projects and to be of service to our community, are invited to attend the remote session. Visit RotaryClubofBrownCounty.org and click on the “Contact us” URL to obtain a link to the Zoom meeting.
