Shirley Sue (Mask) Brahaum, age 78, passed away on Saturday evening, October 2, 2021 at IU Health in Bloomington. She was a resident of Nashville.

Shirley was born October 28, 1942 in Corinth, MS to her parents, the late Luther ‘Luke’ and Suzy M. (Smith) Mask. She was a loving wife, mother, homemaker and grandmother. Shirley worked during the early 1980’s at Hooks Drug Store in Nashville.

She was preceded in death on February 4, 1984 by her loving husband of 24 years, Paul James Aycock, whom she married on September 5, 1959 in Blytheville, AR. Shirley later married, Wayne Brahaum on March 22, 1987 in Brown County. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2016 after 28 years of marriage. Shirley was also preceded in death by siblings, Stanley and L.D. Mask.

She is survived by her children, Mike (wife, Tina) Aycock and Denise (husband, Greg) White, both of Nashville; grandchildren, Jason Aycock of Seymour, Justin (Amber) Aycock of Martinsville, Nikki Ruhbun of Greenwood, Paul Martin of Indianapolis; great grandchildren, Audrey Aycock of Bloomington, Braxton, Haden and Malachi Aycock all of Martinsville, Venessa, Izzy, Maverick, Liam Martin all of Greenwood; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Neighborhood Church of God in Brown County. Shirley enjoyed working crafts, tending to her flower gardens and listening to the radio. She loved sitting on her porch and watching the birds. Shirley will be remembered for her love of her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
