Karen Lee Pittman, of Nashville, passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 26, 2021 at the Brown County Health and Living Community.

Born Jan. 20, 1946 in Seymour, Indiana, she was the daughter of Harry and Wilma (Anthony) Spiker. Karen married her late husband, Leon D. Pittman in 1963. They were high school sweethearts.

Karen loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, reading her Bible, knitting and crocheting. She had attended the Nashville Christian Church before becoming unable to do so.

Karen is survived by her loving family; her two sons, Gregory (Cindy) Pittman, of Nashville, and Bradley Pittman, of Martinsville; one brother, Kevin (Marcia) Spiker, of Columbus; two granddaughters, Lisa (Josh) Stargell and Jessica Pittman; and two great-grandchildren, Adley Stargell and Anela McQueen.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Leon D. Pittman.

There will be a memorial service on Friday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. at the Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday prior to the service.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the American Heart Association or to the charity of one’s choosing.
