Town paving projects starting this week

Some paving projects are set to start in the Town of Nashville in the coming days.

The projects are funded by the $287,782.50 the town received from the Indiana Department of Transportations’ Community Crossings matching grant program last fall.

Milling and patching will take place June 9 and June 10 — weather permitting — in the following areas: Artist Drive; Pine Hills; Pine Brook; Pine Lake Circle; Pine Water Court; Red Bud Drive (off Artist Drive) and Snyder Road.

On June 13, paving will start on the following streets: west end of Franklin Street to Johnson Street; Jefferson Street from the south end of Washington Street; Mound Street from Locust Lane to Jefferson Street; Locust Lane (Post Office Drive) from East Main Street to Mound Street; west end of Washington Street to Van Buren Street; Wells Drive from south to north intersections on Artist Drive; and Locust Lane from Mound Street to its end.

Parking will not be permitted in these areas during paving. Paving may take up to one week, according to Town Manager Sandie Jones.

This paving project is separate from Brown County’s paving project.
