‘Rising star’ returning to native Brown County

Country musician Rylee Nicholson is a rising country music star, who just so happens to be from Brown County.

He’ll be back in his hometown of Nashville from Nov. 13 through 21, and will hold several performances while he is in the county.

He will put on a concert from 1:55 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17 at Brown County High School, 235 Schoolhouse Lane.

Nicholson will speak and share his story with students before the show, as well as sign autographs.

From the high school he will head to the Songwriter Round at the Ferguson House Beer Garden at Jefferson and Franklin streets on Nov. 17 from 5 to 9 p.m.

He will then be going to the very first “Who’s Hoo of Country Music Awards” on Nov. 19 at the Commons in Columbus.

Nicholson is nominated for four awards: Album of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Song of the Year, and Rising Star. He has been notified that he is also nominated for Entertainer of the Year.

Nicholson will perform his new song, “In a World Without Merle,” at the awards banquet on Nov. 19.
