Girl Named Tom, the first group to win The Voice competition, will take the Brown County Music Center stage next year.

It was announced last week that the Brown County Music Center will welcome Girl Named Tom to the stage on Friday, March 17.

The group is the first-ever trio to win NBC’s The Voice in 2021.

The small-town sibling trio Girl Named Tom “seeks to create harmony in a world divided,” according to a press release from the music center.

With their distinctive harmonies and heartfelt performances, Bekah, Joshua and Caleb Liechty won the hearts of America while becoming the only group to ever win NBC’s “The Voice.”

During the 2021 season they landed four songs concurrently on the iTunes Top 10 charts, with two songs reaching No. 1, and received praise from both mentor Kelly Clarkson and pop artist Ariana Grande, who said “(They are) the most special thing I have seen on this show” and they give “ethereal, gorgeous performances.”

In addition to their chart-topping covers (“River,” “The Chain” and “Dust in the Wind” among others), Girl Named Tom writes original music.

“With their debut EP Another World, Girl Named Tom sweeps the listener into reflective space, exploring fond memories, global issues and intimate conversations,” the press release said.

Audiences say they have been “… blown away by the musicality and harmonies, creativity, honesty, beauty. This sibling trio is stardust,” the release continued.

The press release also said that “Another World” exhibits “crystal clear lead vocals, driving (and unique) percussion, and after three minutes build up an amazing section of their three voices intermeshing together.”

Based in the Midwest, Girl Named Tom performed all over the country during the band’s first year before the pandemic struck. Now, after winning The Voice, they cannot wait to hit the road and visit new fans, according to the press release.
