Our Dear Mother Earth
The sun is setting
Colors of red, orange, pink
As if God painted this sky
When darkness arrives
With our other senses we rely
From the smells, the sounds of our mother
we hear the erie kets, the locust
we can smell the sweet night air
Spinning to the East
A thousand miles an hour
Keeping us balanced and centered
Giving us the power
To tread on mother earth
She provides life
She gives us all we need
My plea, for what it’s worth
Please help us save our dear earth
