INDIANAPOLIS — Brown County High School graduate Magdalen Ann Crimmins is gaining experience as an intern with State Rep. Dave Hall (R-Dist. 62) and his fellow members of the Indiana House of Representatives during the 2023 legislative session.

Crimmins is the daughter of Chad and Christina Crimmins. She is currently a senior at Indiana University, and majoring in criminal justice, and minoring in political science and comparative literature.

“My favorite part about the internship is the people I’ve met,” Crimmins said in a press release.

“From the elected officials, the sponsors that host events at the Statehouse, the legislative assistants, to my fellow interns, everyone here is truly inspiring and a joy to work with. I’ve learned an enormous amount from them all and feel that I have made lifelong connections here.”

As a legislative intern, Crimmins corresponds with constituents through phone calls, letters and emails while also staffing committee hearings and floor proceedings.

“This internship is allowing Magdalen to develop her professional skills,” Hall said in the release.

“She and other interns are incredibly valuable, and assist members and constituents throughout the legislative session.”

Each year, the House of Representatives offers paid internship opportunities to college students, law-school students, graduate students and recent college graduates for the duration of each legislative session.
