Brown County High School senior Lizzie Roush was one of four Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen award winners recently honored for an essay composition.

Roush and other winners were awarded at the 10 O’clock Treaty Chapter of the DAR banquet. Each senior was selected by their respective social studies department and invited to write an essay to be submitted to the district.

Roush’s essay was chosen as the chapter winner and was sent on to the state-level competition.

“A special thank you to her mentor, Emily Lewellen for always pushing her to achieve her goals,” her father Kevin Roush said via email last week.
