BROWN CO. AND FORMERLY OF MORGANTOWN

Troy D. Steen, age 77 passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, August 28, 2023 at the Brown County Health &Living Community in Nashville. He was a resident of Brown County and a former resident of Morgantown.

Troy was born December 31, 1945 in Broken Bow, OK to his parents, the late Fletcher and Della (Ayers) Steen. He was a 1963 graduate of Broken Bow High School. Troy retired in 2004 as a Park Ranger at the Brown County State Park after 23 years of service. He had a passion for repairing radios and televisions in his free time. Troy enjoyed working on cars, listening to country music and watching Elvis Presley movies.

He is survived by daughter, Lindsey G. (Travis) Aaron of Blue Ridge, GA; siblings, Velma Smith of Oklahoma and Lesley Steen of Georgia.

Troy was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Curt Steen, Lester Ayers, Beulah Parker and Ada Steen.

In keeping with Troy’s wishes, he will be cremated. Cremation services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation &Personalization Center in Morgantown.
