Marjorie Mabel (Cassidy) Cox, age 92 went to be with our Lord on Tuesday morning, October 31, 2023 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Marjorie was a resident of Columbus.

Marjorie was born October 17, 1931 in Campbellsburg, Indiana to her parents, the late Leslie Lee and Mary Ann (Chastain) Cassidy. She was one of 7 siblings and graduated in 1947 from Salem Indiana High School.

She married Noah Cox, Jr. on August 31, 1949 in Borden, Indiana. They moved to Brown County in 1963 where they raised 5 children while Noah worked in the area as a Brick Mason and Marjorie worked as the Cafeteria Manager for Cummins Engine Plants and Catering with Max Lemley. She also worked in several Nashville, Indiana shops and at the Brown County State Park.

Marjorie enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband and traveling with her sister, Lovetta and daughter, Pamela. She also liked playing the lottery where she was a contestant on the Hoosier Millionaire Show in the early 1990’s. Marjorie will be forever missed and always remembered for her beautiful soul that will continue to influence others with the love she had for so many.

Survivors include her sons Charles Alan, Timothy Lee and Robbie Noah Cox and their spouses Dr. Becky, Karen and Kim Cox, and her daughter Pamela Ann Cox Smith and her spouse Ronnie Smith. She leaves behind her favorite niece Lynn and special friend Cyndi. Other survivors are her 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah, daughter Peggy Jo Cox Snider, daughter in law Pamela Wininger and a grandson Robbie Neil Cox.

The Rev. Roy Hendershot will conduct a service at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home: 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends are welcome to gather at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. A private burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Nashville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
