Charles “Billy” “Chuck” William Watkins, 66, of Columbus passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born November 30, 1956 in Columbus to William Watkins and Carol Sue Roberts Watkins. He was retired from Maintenance for the Brown County Schools after 34 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Jane Waterman of Columbus; a son Billy (Kelly) Watkins of Columbus; two step sons, Joshua (Nicki) Waterman and Justin (Angie) Waterman; two sisters, Mary Watkins and Paula (Ken) Sumner; a brother, Tim (Leslie) Watkins; three grandchildren, Kierstin (Aaron) Watkins, Trent Watkins and Jaxson Waterman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandchild, Jensen Waterman.

Chuck enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle, going fishing and traveling.

There will be a Funeral Service on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 7:00 PM in Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 North State Road 135, Nashville, with Rev. Wes Jones officiating. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Monday prior to services from 3:00 – 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
