Sharon Louise (Roberts) Rose, age 70, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away at Community Hospital

South in Indianapolis on November 26, 2023. She was born on February 23, 1953 to Chester and Mary (Joslin) Roberts in Columbus, Indiana.

Before she graduated from Brown County High School in 1971, she enjoyed cheerleading and working on the newspaper and yearbook. She met the love of her life, Ron, and they married on April 30, 1971. They completed their family with two boys, Daniel and Brad, who shared their home in Bloomington. In 1986, Sharon and Ron started their Business, RWS, in Columbus, IN. Overtime, their business expanded with the help of their sons. Sharon enjoyed walking, genealogy, reading, and traveling. She enjoyed visiting New York City at Christmas time. Early in life, she enjoyed bowling and golfing. Sharon’s grandchildren encompassed all aspects of life, and each was special to her. Nanny was an avid supporter for all of their activities and cheering them on brought so much joy to her life.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ronald Dale Rose, sons, Daniel Rose (Anna) and Brad Rose (Kelly), grandchildren, Sydney Marie Rose, Allyson Ryan Rose, Kathryn Renee Rose, Alexander Daniel Rose, Jacob Rose, and Ethan Rose and sisters, Vicki Lynne Harmon (Bruce) and Patricia Ann Lee, brother, Jeffrey Roberts (Greg), five nieces and nephews, and ten great-nieces and great-nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.

A celebration of Sharon’s life will follow at 4:00 PM at The Funeral Chapel.
