Donations welcome for Brown County Health &Living

The Brown County Assessors office is collecting signed Christmas cards, snacks. Candy (sugar free also), fuzzy warm socks for the residents at Brown County Health and Living. This is our 3rd year doing this. We can accept donations until 4 p.m. on December 21. We will deliver the items for distribution on December 22. Thank you in advance for your kindness. Let’s spread the joy.

For kids

Monday Morning Storytime, Mondays, Dec. 18 at 10:30 a.m., Stories, songs, rhymes, movement and crafts for kids 6 and under with their caregivers.

Open Play and Family Literacy, Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 10:30 a.m., Social play for kids ages 0-6 and literacy tips and family networking for adults. Registration requested.

For teens

ATLAS (At the Library After School), Wednesday, Dec. 13 from 3:15 to 5 p.m., Hang time, games, crafts and snacks for grades 6 -12.

For adults

Stay Safe Online: Cybersecurity Basics, Wednesday, December 13 at 3:30 p.m., Learn to recognize secure websites, spot ‘phishing’ emails, stay safe from scams and fraud, and build confidence and stay safe while online. All participants will be entered into a drawing to win a new iPad. Registration requested.

Windows Computer Basics, Tuesday, December 19 at 5:30 p.m., Learn the basics of using Windows 10/11 – how to navigate the computer, how to find and manage files and folders, save and delete files and more. Space is limited. Laptops will be available for participant use, or you may bring your own laptop. All participants will be entered into a drawing to win a new iPad. Registration requested.

Novel Bunch Book Club, Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m., Everyone is welcome to come and share a favorite holiday book and reading recommendations with the group.

Cordry-Sweetwater Branch Programs

CSW Bookies Book Club, Wednesday, December 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cordry-Sweetwater Branch, It’s Reader’s Choice — come and discuss your favorite books of the year at the Cordry Sweetwater Branch Library. Everyone is welcome.
