Winnie “Dean” Stinson, 89, of Nashville passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024 in Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, Columbus. She was born June 27, 1934 in Gaps Creek, Kentucky to Lafe Cooper Frost and Winnie (Piercey) Frost. She was retired from the New Castle Community School Corporation.

Survivors include her three sons, David (Melissa Crabtree) Stinson, Lloyd (Debbie) Stinson and Kevin Stinson; a daughter in law, Melissa (Scott Waddell) Stinson-Waddell; 7 grandchildren, Kayla (Johnny) Robertson, Heather (Adam) Ford, Amber (Earl) Carlile, Jamie (Burt) Stinson, Casey (Joshua) Stinson, Dustin Stinson and Amanda Stinson; 12 great grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Sutton of New Castle, Indiana, Marguerite Clark of Cambridge City, Indiana, (twin) Jean Poore of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware; a brother, Perry Frost (Garnet) of New Castle, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnold “Biggen” Stinson; a son, Dennis Stinson; a grandson, Matthew Stinson; three sisters, Lee Massengale, Avadot (Lloyd “Raggy”) George and Audra (Roscoe) Lowe; a daughter in law, Lori Stinson; three brothers, Rex Frost, Dillan (Tina) Frost and Hamilton “Hodo” Frost; and four brother in laws, Porter Poore, Imal Clark, Billy Marrow and Lawrence Sutton.

Dean was a long time member of Belmont Chapel. She enjoyed spending time with her family, enjoyed traveling with Biggen.

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Road 135 North. Funeral Services will be Thursday March 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM in Belmont Chapel, 5579 Lower Schooner Road, Nashville, with Brother Bruce Bond officiating; burial will follow in Duncan Cemetery.
