Spring has Sprung in Nashville!

The buzzing of bees on a warm, sunny day. Hearing the coos of a mourning dove. Feeling the sunshine on your face. The idea of spring elicits palpable memories for many people.

Spring officially sprung Tuesday, Brown County — and with it comes sunnier days.

The Earth travels around the sun at an angle. For the majority of the year, the Earth is tilted. During the winter it is tilted away from, and during summer it is tilted toward the sun. The spring and fall Equinoxes are the only times the sun equally reaches both hemispheres of the Earth, making the Equinox night as long as the day. Spring is the return of light and warmth after a not-so-friendly winter.

We sent our reporter Dakota Bruton to the streets of Nashville to ask people what excites them most about spring. The overarching theme? Warm weather— imagine that. We broke down the answers into two groups: weather and flowers.
