NASHVILLE – A 33-year-old man from Nashville, Christopher Williams has been charged with a level 4 felony for child molesting and a level 6 felony for dissemination of matter harmful to minors.

In August 2023 Det. Brian Shrader began investigating a case in association with a victim reporting that she was molested by Williams. According to the report, Williams was in prison at the time for an unrelated sex crime. On Aug. 21, Shrader spoke with the victim who was 10 years old at the time. According to the report, she said that Williams had molested her between the ages of 4 and 6. She did not tell anyone until she was 9 years old because Williams allegedly threatened that he would hurt her if she ever told anyone.

According to the report, the victim told Shrader that the abuse happened almost constantly over several years. She explained that he allegedly touched her everywhere with his hands. According to the report, the victim said Williams would take their clothes off and that she was able to see his entire body. The victim was allegedly able to detail all of Williams’ tattoos and said the only areas he did not have them were on his genitals and buttocks. According to the report the victim told Shrader that Williams would sometimes videotape her while he was touching her. He also allegedly showed her pornographic videos on his phone. Williams has his initial hearing on April 16 at the Brown County Circuit Court.

Man faces count of felony domestic battery

MORGANTOWN – A 40-year-old Morgantown man, Jerry Jones has been charged with a level 5 felony for domestic battery involving his wife.

On March 22, Brown County Sgt. Austin Schonfeld, Nashville Sergeant Scott Bowling and Sheriff’s Deputies Zaccary Sheppard and Kyle Minor responded to a physical domestic on Gatesville Road.

According to the report, dispatch advised that Amanda Jones reported that her husband hit her, body slammed her, struck her with a cord and shoved her face in feces. Amanda was allegedly hiding in a portable toilet when she made the call. According to the report when Sheppard arrived on scene he spoke with Amanda who showed him a large raised bruise on her thigh. She told Sheppard that she allegedly received the bruise when Jerry hit her with a pole. She said that Jerry also allegedly pushed her off the bed and destroyed the house. According to the report, Jerry told Sheppard that he used methamphetamine the night before and woke up in the morning wanting to do drugs with Amanda but she did not have any. Sheppard said that Jerry allegedly had what appeared to be dried blood on the side of his head, right palm and pants. According to the report he told Sheppard that Amanda was not physically abusive with him. The report indicated that Sheppard went into the residence with Amanda to look for the item Jerry used to hit her in the leg. The residence was allegedly filthy and in disarray. Amanda allegedly showed Sheppard the phone cable that Jerry used in the past to hit her. According to the report, she also showed Sheppard the metal rod that Jerry used to hit her. She told Sheppard that Jerry allegedly put her in a chokehold when he pushed her down. According to the report, Jerry was placed in handcuffs and Minor told Sheppard that Jerry had tossed an electronic smoking device on the ground that he stated was used for marijuana.

Driver injured following crash on State Road 46

WASHINGTON TWP. – A 39-year-old Louisville man, David Storck allegedly swerved into another vehicle on State Road 46 while passing through Brown County toward Bloomington.

On March 24, Sheriff’s Deputy Kyle Minor responded to a crash with injuries. Police officers Scott Bowling and Joseph Tenbarge arrived shortly after Minor to provide back-up.

According to the report David Storck and his wife Rebecca Storck were on their way to Bloomington when David began making remarks to Rebecca and jerking the wheel. Rebecca told Minor that David was driving when he allegedly said “I’m having a good feeling right now,” and went on about how amazing his feelings were.

According to the report, David began jerking his wheel and drove into oncoming traffic hitting Terry Wilmot’s vehicle. Minor said that Wilmot was unable to exit his vehicle and needed Emergency Medical Services and Fire Rescue to remove him. According to the report, Wilmot was alert and conscious. David allegedly attempted to flee the scene behind a nearby house when Tenbarge and Bowling detained him and took him to the ambulance so he could be examined by Emergency Medical Services. According to the report, David would not calm down and became aggressive with Emergency Medical Services. David was allegedly handcuffed and held to the cot by Minor and Tenbarge. He was allegedly making claims of being in heaven. Minor asked David and Rebecca if David had any substances or alcohol prior to the crash and they both told him David had not.

Rebecca allegedly told Minor that David was never like this in the past, but was grieving the loss of his mother who had recently passed. She claimed that something allegedly snapped in him when he began making his comments and swerving.

According to the report, David was complaining of chest pains where his seat belt was located. Because of this and his mental state, he was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital to receive an evaluation.
