Scott Dick takes vacant seat on council

Scott Dick Manager of Construction Services at USI Consultants Inc. was appointed as the new member of the Nashville Town Council at the council meeting Wecdnesday.

He will be filling the empty seat left by Anna Hofstetter. Hofstetter resigned from town council on March 21 when she moved out of the district.

Bruce Gould and Jim Cramer also ran for town council. They were each asked to address the council to explain why they wanted to be on the board.

The Town Council Members unanimously voted for Dick to fill the seat.

His responsibilities with the council began upon his appointment. He was sworn in and asked to take his seat next to council members Andi Wilson, Dave Rudd, Lance Miller and Rex Watters III.

Dick’s first official meeting as a town council member will be next Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Nashville Town Hall. His term ends Dec. 31, 2026.
