Carol L. Joslin, 88, of Brown County, Indiana passed from this life at 12:15 a.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield, Indiana with her husband of 68 years, Hurschell P. Joslin by her side.

Carol was born December 9, 1935, in Columbus, the daughter of Paul M. and Alma D. Loy Dobbs. Carol and Hurschell were married on April 5, 1956. They spent their years together growing their family as well as their gardens of flowers and vegetables, traveling on car trips around the country to visit family and friends, devoting time to their churches, and living life.

Carol was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, enjoyed quilting, sewing, playing the piano, and her collections. As a member of North Salem Community Church and an engaged participant in other churches, she served on committees, organized quilting groups, led the congregation and choir with her signature piano playing style. Carol was someone who liked to help those with great need and was able to use her skills in being a partner to Hurschell in the churches he served.

Survivors include her husband, Hurschell; children, Pamela Joslin (Chris) Snyder of Eugene, Oregon, Jerald Joslin of Nashville, Timothy (Vicki) Joslin and David (Carrie) Joslin both of Columbus; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Phyllis (Gerald) Lynn of Columbus and Naomi (Gary) Greathouse of Franklin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Susan Muller; brothers, Larry, Donald, Alan, and Wayne Dobbs; and a sister, Virginia Dobbs.

Family and friends gathered for a time of visitation Friday, April 12, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. Following the visitation cremation took place and a celebration of life service will take place later.
