PEOGA — A Morgantown man was arrested on alcohol charges Aug. 5 after he was pulled over for not having a license plate light.
Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Eggebrecht stopped a vehicle driven by Daniel R. Collins, 26, at around 5:15 a.m. in the 9900 block of Green Road.
Eggebrecht reported smelling alcohol on Collins, seeing alcohol containers in the vehicle, that his speech was slurred, his eyes were glossy, his manual dexterity was poor, his balance was unsteady and that Collins was slow to stop his vehicle, the probable cause affidavit states.
A breath test showed his blood-alcohol content to be 0.18, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08.
He was charged Aug. 8 with three misdemeanors.
