Janette L. (Richards) Lowe, 81, of Greenwood, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018 at Greenwood Meadows.
Janette was born July 9, 1937 in Brown County to Hubert and Esther (Poling) Richards. She married Thomas Lee Roy Lowe on July 15, 1958 in Indianapolis; he preceded her in death July 31, 2017. She worked for Morris Plan (Bank), where she met her husband; was a data entry programmer for Bunzl Paper Products in Indianapolis and a cosmetology instructor for P. J.’s Beauty College in Indianapolis. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, William D. “Will” Lowe (Deanna) of Indianapolis, David L. Lowe (Kimberly) of Franklin, and Stephen M. Lowe of Beech Grove; four grandchildren, Shawn Barger of Plainfield, Angela Landrum (Shayne) of Brownsburg, Corey Lowe of Terre Haute, Layne Lowe of Franklin; four great-grandchildren, Katherine Jayne Landrum, Benjamin Landrum, Pheobe Barger, and Hayne Barger; and a sister, Lilian Wicker of Plainfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Henry Richards and Jerry Richards; and three sisters, Eva Glassburn, Joann Sweezy and Mary Lou Lewis.
The Rev. Cleon Wright conducted a service Oct. 6 at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center in Franklin, where friends called prior to the time. Burial was in Needmore Cemetery, Brown County.
