Town council president hospitalized after heart attack

Nashville Town Council President Charles “Buzz” King was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital last weekend after having a heart attack.

On Nov. 9, town council Vice President Jane Gore said he was doing better. He was strong enough to have stents put in, which restored blood flow. She wasn’t sure how much longer King would be at Methodist. His wife, Linda, was hoping they’ll be able to transfer him to Brown County Health & Living for rehabilitation, Gore said.

Gore has been acting as the family’s spokesperson; she said anyone is welcome to call her if they need to, not King directly. Anyone who wishes to send a card can mail it to the Kings’ home address.

King, 70, a 16-year veteran of the town council, was on the ballot for reelection Nov. 6. He did not win a fifth term.
