To the editor:
After 70 years, the historic Brown County Playhouse is alive and well with a lot of major improvements.
We recently hired a new assistant executive director, Hannah Estabrook. She will start May 13. Please stop by the Playhouse and welcome her to our great community and the Playhouse family.
With a big thank-you to the Brown County Community Foundation and Smithville Charitable Foundation, we now have sound drapes to improve our sound within the theater. I am sure if you come to a performance, you will see a big difference.
Also please mark your calendar for a very special event on Sunday, May 19. This will be a benefit concert for Suzannah Zody.
