Man faces felony after agencies serve warrant

A Mooresville man faces a felony and two misdemeanors in Brown County after multiple law enforcement agencies served a warrant for his arrest April 26.

The Indiana State Police, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department, the Brown County Sheriff’s Department and the United States Marshal task force arrested Andrew Langley, 40, at a home on Lower Owl Creek Road, according to a probable cause affidavit by ISP Trooper Chris Griggs. Langley was wanted out of Morgan County for a probation violation and he was a suspect in another investigation in Morgan County.

Griggs reported that as he exited his vehicle, he heard Trooper Richard Klun yelling commands for Langley to show his hands and stop. Langley reportedly ignored them and ran east of Griggs’ location. As he entered a field, officers continued to tell him to stop until Langley did, the affidavit states. He was then handcuffed by Brown County Sgt. Scott Bowling.

Langley was searched and in a chest pocket of his leather vest, officers reported finding a cigarette pack with a bag of methamphetamine inside it. Officers also found meth in a fake bullet on Langley’s key ring that had a screw-on lid.

Once at the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, officers found a clear plastic bag containing marijuana inside in Langley’s possession, the report said.

Langley was charged April 29 with possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony; resisting law enforcement, a Class A misdemeanor; and possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor.
