Michael Don Patrick, 73, of Brown County, passed peacefully May 1, 2019, surrounded by family at Brown County Health and Living.
Mike was born June 27, 1945, in Jackson County to Victor and Ethel (Hazzard) Patrick. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the school of business at Indiana University.
While he had many jobs and businesses that took him around the world, he most recently partnered with two of his sons in two retail stores (JB Goods) in Brown County.
He enjoyed giving back to the community by being a part of the CVB and DRC boards in Nashville. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, music, watching IU basketball and relaxing at his cabin.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister Joan (Patrick) Heavin.
He is survived by his sisters, Judy (Patrick) and Steve Beard, Julie (Patrick) and Rich Tiller; his significant other, Patty Coy; and his sons, Jeff and Stacey (Jackson) Patrick, Jake and Kari (Bayne) Patrick, and Josh and Lisa (Ingram) Patrick. He also had four wonderful grandchildren: Ellie, Avery, Owen and Eva.
A celebration of life will be held at Hard Truth Hills in Brown County on May 16 from 5 to 8 p.m.
