Saturday, March 21

Deadline for the county clerk’s office to mail absentee ballots to voters who had already applied for them.

Tuesday, March 31

1 to 4 p.m.: Required public test of voting machines in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane. The public and poll workers are invited to try the new machines to see how they work.

Monday, April 6

4 p.m.: Deadline to fix a problem with your voter registration or to transfer it to your current address. Type your name, birth date and county at indianavoters.in.gov. If you don’t find yourself on it and you think you should be or if your address is wrong, contact the county clerk’s office at 812-988-5510.

Midnight: Deadline to register to vote. Visit indianavoters.in.gov.

Tuesday, April 7

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting starts in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane. (Take note, it has moved from its normal location, which was the County Office Building.)

Wednesday, April 8

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Thursday, April 9

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Friday, April 10

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Monday, April 13

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Tuesday, April 14

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Wednesday, April 15

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Thursday, April 16

First day that someone can ask to have the traveling board help them vote if they are disabled or confined. This opportunity is open through May 4. Call the county clerk’s office at 812-988-5510 to ask how to schedule this option.

Friday, April 17

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Noon: Deadline for candidates to file pre-primary campaign finance reports.

Monday, April 20

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Tuesday, April 21

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Wednesday, April 22

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Thursday, April 23

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Midnight: Deadline for the county clerk’s office to receive an application to vote absentee by mail. Applications can be submitted to the clerk in person or by mail, fax or email.

Friday, April 24

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Saturday, April 25

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Monday, April 27

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Tuesday, April 28

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Wednesday, April 29

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

6 p.m.: Poll worker training in the lower level of the Brown County Public Library.

Thursday, April 30

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Friday, May 1

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Saturday, May 2

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: In-person absentee voting open in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Monday, May 4

8 a.m. to noon: Last day of in-person absentee voting in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park, 902 Deer Run Lane.

Tuesday, May 5

PRIMARY ELECTION DAY

6 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Polls open in Brown County. You must visit the polling place in the precinct in which you live to vote.

Noon: Absentee ballots by mail are due to the county clerk’s office. These can be hand-delivered if you wait too long to get it into the mail. If the clerk’s office receives your mail-in ballot after noon, it might not be counted. Ballots should be mailed in time to be received by May 5 and if ballots are not received by noon on that day they will not be counted. Ballots that are not mailed can also be hand-delivered to the clerk’s office by noon or given in the absentee ballot envelope at your polling location from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Election Day.

Friday, May 15

Noon: Deadline to receive mailed ballots from overseas voters which were postmarked by May 5.

Noon: County election board will start counting provisional ballots in the lower level of Veterans Hall at Deer Run Park. The public is welcome to attend. The count must be completed by 3 p.m.

Monday, May 18

Noon: Deadline for the county election board to certify the results of the primary election.

Tuesday, May 19

Voter registration reopens for the general election.

First day the county clerk can receive mail-in absentee ballot applications for the general election.
