Club news for week of June 3

Bald Eagles

The Brown County Bald Eagles have cancelled their planned June 6 meeting to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the D-Day invasion during World War II.

The Brown County Bald Eagles have been meeting for more than 30 years to commemorate two pivotal events from WWII: The attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, and the D-Day Invasion on June 6, 1944.

Hosted by a group of military veterans, this event is open to the public and anyone interested in aviation and aviation history. This is only the second time that the meeting has not been held since the group formed in the mid-’80s.

The next luncheon meeting will be Dec. 5. For more information, contact Tim Sparks at 812-988-2377 or [email protected].

Any widowed person who wishes to know more about the group may call Keith Bradway at 812-597-0811 or Joanne Day at 812-597-5593.
