Raymond Earl Dillinger

Raymond Earl Dillinger, 82, of Nashville died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021 in Brown County Health and Living. He was born July 3, 1938 in Indianapolis to Howard James Dillinger and Mildred Yerkes Dillinger. He was a retired florist.
Survivors include a cousin, Shirley Vanetta; two very special friends, Earl Snellenberger and Rita Simon; and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jerry Dillinger.
Ray was a member of Morgantown United Methodist Church. Ray was a 1956 Graduate of Arsenal Technical High School and had attended Ivy Tech studying architectural drafting and was a United States Air Force Veteran. He loved travelling and had visited all 50 states and much of Europe. He was a lifetime florist and had received many awards for art in junior and senior high school. His proudest accomplishment was finding a field that he liked and supporting himself and becoming a florist and floral designer for more than 40 years. He was a master gardener, won many ribbons for photography and art at the Brown County Fair.
Graveside Services were held Friday, Jan. 22, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis with his longtime friend, Earl Snellenberger officiating.
