Clouds and rain gave way to sunshine just in time for the Spring Blossom Parade May 6 in downtown Nashville. This year’s theme, “Reaching for the Stars,” saluted rising stars in Brown County, and also marked the 40th anniversary of the release of the first “Star Wars” movie.
The grand marshal was 17-year-old Maria Sanderson of Brown County, a multi-award-winning violinist who’s played Carnegie Hall and on several international stages.
Parade winners, as judged by members of the Brown County Lions Club which organizers the parade, were:
