BOYS CROSS-COUNTRY

State finals
Brown Co.: 99. Wyatt Wyman 16:34.6
Coach’s comments: On Saturday, Wyatt Wyman ran in the IHSAA state cross-country meet. Wyatt ran to a 99th place finish out of a field of 180. He ran a time that was very close to his all-time best on the course. The weather and nerves may have slowed him those vital seconds that kept him from reaching his goal of a top 40 finish. Only 25 seconds kept him from his goal. Going into the state series, Wyatt had not finished outside of seventh place in any of his races. Wyatt capped off a great senior year by making it individually to the state meet. He is one of a handful of runners to be all-conference all four of his years. He will leave the sport of cross-county as the second-fastest boy in the school’s history. Congratulations to Wyatt on a great career at Brown County High School.
